I wrote my Amazon bestseller, A Fine Mess, a few months after I’d finished breast cancer treatment. I had bad chemo hair, a new perspective on life, and a burning desire to help people going through their own fine messes. ie/ Divorce, job loss, illness, death, getting left at the altar wearing a dress worth more than your car… and all sorts of other shit-show situations.

One thing I knew for sure. I didn’t want it to be a cancer book (although I do share parts of my story) because my odd little book is designed for anyone going through crap. When you’re stressed out, reading can be tough. But yet you need inspiration and a laugh to keep you going. So I wrote short, quirky, frank, and funny essays; had the book beautifully illustrated, and made sure there’s a healthy dose of weird. I wrote it in a few months, spent several more months finding a publisher, and then 2 years later – BOOM – my publisher launched A Fine Mess during the pandemic.
